Be Strategic, Not Scared: Supporting Leadership & Equitable People Ops in 2025 & Beyond

March 25, 2025Ā  |Ā  3:00 - 5:00 PM ET

Description:

We are at a pivotal moment where fear can tempt leaders to compromise or silence their values in the face of potential retribution. While we cannot avoid the inevitable challenges ahead, we can prepare with intention, grounding our actions in alignment with our core values to navigate this moment with courage and integrity. We will explore topics such as centering equity in an increasingly anti-DEI climate, fostering people-centered operations, implementing responsive organizational design, and embedding equity throughout the hiring process and beyond. This session is a chance to turn these principles into practical strategies to address the most pressing challenges faced by organizations in our movement in this moment and beyond.

Our Learning Lab builds on the foundation of our 2024 Equitable Hiring Guide presentation, offering a dynamic space for continued exploration and deeper engagement. What makes this Learning Lab unique is its interactive and participant-driven approach.

Ahead of the session, attendees will have the opportunity to submit their most urgent questions, ensuring the discussion focuses on real-time issues and shared strategies. This collaborative format aims to answer critical questions like: How do we continue to support our people and sustain our values in everything we do? How do we design systems and processes and organizational forms that are responsive to the changing needs of our organizations and communities? Together, we will co-create a space where challenges can be reframed into opportunities, build community and relationships with each other, and offer tangible takeaways for integrating equity and care into our work, even in these challenging times.
